A full Sunday of ceremonies marked the dedication of Immanuel's Lutheran school building. Rev Paom led the morning service, Prof F Ernst of Watertown preached, school children and choir performed, followed by a dinner and evening gathering with Rev M Bunge giving an address.
Episcopal observance highlights All Saints Day on November 1 with services at St Albans Church at 7:30 and 9:15 p m. A sermon will honor departed Christians and reflect on heaven and the faithful who have died in the faith.
A postponed Fort nightly Musical Club gathering will take place at Miss Glassner's home on November 2 at 4:15 PM. The program features selections from French and Italian operas, including duets and a piano solo, with portions titled Home to Our Mononalas and Bohemia GIT Balle.
DQ D Conway, a popular Grand Raids attorney and Democratic candidate for Congress, spent several days in the city and vicinity last week building political fences. He is highly regarded locally and believes a home county endorsement will come even as the district leans against him.

Central Wisconsin Republicans plan a major rally at the Wausau Opera House this Wednesday evening. Senator John C. Spooner will be the speaker, part of a seven-speech statewide campaign, with a Marshfield delegation traveling on the Northwestern line to attend and return the next morning.
A packed Adler Opera House audience heard Governor Davidson outline Republican tax policy and contrast with Democrats. W. D. Connor, Lt. Gov. candidate, and other leaders attended. speakers urged voting the Republican ticket next Tuesday from top to bottom.
The J F F whist club met with Miss Cora Vaughn last Friday. Mrs W H Roddis hosted bridge for a small group. Royal Neighbors held a dancing party at the armory. Finneys and Pollards plan a dinner. Mrs W D Connor hosted lunch for Mrs H R Messer of Laona and others. W W McCulloch and D C Gile host a tea Saturday. Fortnightly Musical Club meets with Miss Glassner for a program. German Whist at Finneys’ home featured asparagus decorations, with prizes awarded to Mrs Dorschel and Mr Hume, and Mr Hambight as consolation.

A break in at Upham mill was discovered by the watchman, believed to be the work of a tramp who slept in the shed overnight.
Fire department responded at 3 30 Monday morning to a woodshed fire at E Pollard on West Third Street. Very little damage occurred as flames were extinguished before they could spread further.
The Badger Auto Quartette appeared at city hall last Tuesday evening drawing a small audience after a Stevens Point trip. They have toured the state for five months and spent two weeks with Prohibition Chateaux in Illinois. Prof. Pehlendt gave an entertaining address after several quartette selections.
