Young Admits Murder and Is Sentenced for Life
Arthur Young pleaded guilty to the murder of Edward Smith and received a life sentence. He confessed to striking Smith with a stone during a quarrel on August 27 and hiding the body in the woods, found October 10. The admission ends a detailed, circumstantial case and spares Marathon County a lengthy trial.
