Fragmented OCR lists doctors and offices including Emily Rachal and M Marsupield in Wisconsin and nearby regions. Mentions offices over jewelers, residence details, telephone numbers, hours, and various amenities. Largely unreadable but preserves names, places, and professional roles.
The fragment records a Marshfield Common Council session with attendance lists, motions on ordinances, budget appropriations, and committee reports. It notes readings of previous minutes, proposed ordinances, street and public works actions, and payments to vendors. The chaotic OCR text references Aldermen, committees, and city actions including public concerts and manufacturing proposals.
The council discusses Upham Manufacturing Co mortgage details and a proposed deed to secure a city chartered mortgage. Aldermen vote on resolutions directing issuance of a special tax or bond and authorize the mayor and clerk to procure a deed and correct title. Several committee reports follow, with motions carried and lost votes, and an adjournment motion.
Ordinance No 167 creates a public library fund with tax support and city treasury oversight. The article also includes a column of humorous local notes about an old subscriber, a partridge breaking a window, university course start on December 9, and a list of uncalled letters at Marshfield post office with instruction to say advertised.
