The Wood County Republican convention elected Senator Wipperman as chairman and R. Connor as secretary. After credentials and resolutions committees were named, the ticket announced included E. E. Winch for Assembly, W. E. Little for Sheriff, G. W. Davis for County Clerk, P. F. Pean for Treasurer, Vinton G. Nason for Register of Deeds, A. B. Bever for Clerk of Court, Theo. W. Brazeau for District Attorney, and Warren Severns for Surveyor. A disputed sheriff vote led to an eighth ballot showing irregularities, then a subsequent tally shifted votes toward Little.

County Democratic convention nominates local slate in Marshfield
The county Democratic convention placed a full ticket for local offices led by Assemblyman W. H. Cary and Sheriff Julian T. Welch with Chas. Whittiesey for Clerk of Court and W. E. Wheelan for District Attorney among others. Dr. H. A. Lathrop spoke for Lieut Governor. a revised ticket includes Dr. Frank X. Pomainville replacing Cary. The convention also named officers and approved a plan for upcoming events at the opera house and fair. Two Marshfield girls, Alma Sperbecker and Hannah Gross, were released on probation after reform work. Marshal Gerwing escorted them from Eau Claire.
