Innocentia of Munich and Sister Sanctina visited local Notre Dame sisters on Monday accompanied by a church entourage. They arrived September 22 and will tour every Notre Dame house in the United States and Canada, aiming to finish by May. The order began near Munich in 1833, counts about 8,000 sisters, and educates roughly 172,000 children, with 90,000 in America. Three general provinces operate from Milwaukee, St. Louis and Baltimore.

Bus Struck by Train At Northwestern Depot
A Mansion House bus was struck by a freight car and overturned at the north siding Friday afternoon near the Northwestern depot. The bus passed through a space created by standing cars, then was hit by an engine at the far end of the train. No passengers were aboard and the driver jumped clear in time. The bus suffered severe damage but will be repaired and back in service soon.

Two years after the Marshfield telephone building opened on Third street Mr. Marsh and staff celebrated with a Monday banquet in the exchange rooms. Ten covers enjoyed a substantial meal as the event closed with a pleasant evening. Wenzel party set for December 28 at the armory and Hartl’s hall with Second Regiment orchestra providing music. Children to be entertained in the afternoon and early evening followed by an adults dance later.

Prize Wildcats Netted Near March Rapids
J A Pennabecker trapped a record large wildcat three miles south of March Rapids on Monday Lorenoon. The animal weighed about fifty pounds, twice the size of an ordinary wildcat, and carried no stock damage. Pennabecker planned to collect a $6 bounty in Wausau, noting wild cats are plentiful yet elusive this fall.

Depot Wrecked by Wrong Switch at Stevens Point
A brakeman's error at Stevens Point in Central yards caused a freight train to back into a string of passenger coaches, pushing them into the depot platform and wrecking the station building. The damage is extensive and costly repairs are needed.
