The frightened horses galloped south on Central to Tremmel corner, turned east, and were stopped near the Lathrop home after about a mile. Gregory A. Cattanach 53 died of typhoid fever in Spokane Washington and his remains arrived in Nasonville for a funeral held at the local Presbyterian church. He was a son of James Cattanach and had worked in lumbering with a brother in Washington. His death came after a recent illness, and friends in the vicinity mourn his loss.

Fire calls Tuesday afternoon after shed blaze near Cherry
Fire department answered an alarm Monday afternoon at :15 from the corner of Cherry and Fifth streets. Boys playing in a wood shed at Mr. Grahams home on Fifth Street east of Cherry started the fire, but it was extinguished before serious damage. The building belonged to Mrs. Z. E. Lindsley and was insured.
