High School Athletics Gain Strong Interest This Year
The Athlet ic Association at Marshfight high school has about fifty active members and gains. A basketball program is bright with a first team being formed from Ed Witt, Capt. Death of Rev L Streich pastor at St Pauls German Evang church
Rev L Streich 68 pastor of St Pauls German Evangelical church died suddenly at his Vine street home from heart failure. He had led the church for four years and was popular and devout. Survived by his wife and seven children with locations in Wausau Winnipeg Pennsylvania and Winnipes.

Choral Society Hears Public Meeting at City Hall

Death of Miss Lizzie Grace Sexton
Miss Lizzie Grace Sexton daughter of George Sexton died at home on Vime Street Friday after a brief illness from congestion of the lungs. The funeral was held at 1 30 Monday from the home of W A Sexton with Rev Postlethwaite officiating. Pallbearers included J F Bole E B Winch and others. Born September 23 1858 in Spring Lake Wisconsin she taught in youth and later moved to this city in 1893 to care for her parents. She is survived by her father a sister Mrs E V Kautsky of Colby and a brother W A Sexton.

Ray Tearnan Injured by Laboratory Explosion
Mrs. J F Tearnan received word from Madison that her oldest son Ray was badly burned in a laboratory explosion at the state university. He was taken to Milwaukee to be treated by Dr Schneider, an oculist. Ray and other students were conducting experiments when chemicals exploded, burning his eyes and face. prognosis uncertain but hopeful for sight.

Fire at Reynolds barn prompts quick city call
Early Sunday morning a small blaze broke out at the George H Reynolds barn on Third and Cedar streets. Careless hot coals near a manure pile started the fire, but cleaners intervened with water and no damage occurred as Hose Cart drivers found the scene quickly while others took longer to locate it.
