Wilson Wins for President in Wood County Returns

Wood County reports split results with Woodrow Wilson elected president by a large margin. City totals show Taft and Roosevelt trailing, Wilson leading strongly across wards. Local races tilt toward Republicans in county offices while Karel and McGovern contest statewide seats. Ballots indicate Browne wins congressman in the district and Goggins versus Montis dominates state senate race.

Ninth District Medical Society Meets in Grand Rapids

The Ninth Councilor District Medical society gathered at the Dixon Hotel in Grand Rapids on Wednesday evening October 30. A seven o'clock dinner was served, followed by a program featuring talks on Chorea, Eczema, intracranial pressure, and fractures of the snail, with physicians Edw. Hangen, W. E. Aller, J. Riordan, W. A. Mason, and A. B. Halstead presenting.

Death of Prominent Wood County Pioneer Timothy Ingle

Timothy Ingle a longtime Wood County resident died at his Rock town home last Friday. Funeral services were held Monday at the Nasonville church with Marshfield Masonic lodge rites led by Worshipful Master P. Tiffault and chaplain A J Coram. Pallbearers included P N Christensen Hans Jensen James O Jensen Hans P Hansen and H Raulson. Ingle born January 22 1822 in Heaton Norris England married Ellen Hapwood in 1846 and had eight children six surviving: Joseph G Ingle Ellen Radcliffe Albert A Angie Horace Ingle Charles A and Edward J Ingle. He helped found the Nasonville area and served in Masonry for over sixty years. He was regarded as honest capable and generous and leaves a large circle of mourners and friends.

Halloween Troubles Put 80 Teens Before Judge Wegener

Hallowe en festivities led to property damage and mischief as about eighty youths face court action. A special officer’s confrontation with a boy in uniform sparked a prompt police response and a pending restitution or nominal fine outcome. No arrests or fines have been formally recorded yet.
