Fall from wagon kills 14 year old in St. Joseph
Joseph Zilk Jr aged 14 son of Mr and Mrs Zilk of 504 Western street sustained fatal injuries Monday when riding on his father's wagon. While northbound on St Josephs street a boy attempted to climb aboard spooking the team. Zilk whipped the horses and the wagon struck a curb, throwing him under the wheels. He died at St Josephs hospital at 3 15 PM the same day. He was the youngest of nine and a favorite at St Johns Catholic school. Funeral from St Johns church tomorrow at 10 with Rev Joseph I Volz officiating.
