Stevens Point Scouts Enjoy Marshfield Visit And Local Baseball
More than thirty Stevens Point Boy Scouts led by Scout Master J. Merry traveled to Marshfield last Thursday. They gave a scout art exhibition and held a program with demonstrations on camping, signaling, first aid, and knot tying before a basketball game that Stevens Point won 8 to 2. The Tigers also report Stetsonville bowling a 5 to 2 win and announce a return game with Stetsonville at the fairgrounds next Sunday. Local church services include a 10:30 a.m. service and an evening lecture by Mr Chapin on The Church and the school.

Dr Knilans Defeats State Champion In Local Billiards Match
On Thursday evening at the Euks club Dr D A Knilans defeated Emslie of Milwaukee, the amateur State champion, two games to one in straight rail billiards on even game. They played 100 noinits to the game with Knilans averaging 84 and a 12 inning game. He will be heard from at the next state tournament. Later he won the Marsh Upham trophy with a record pool run for the club.

Pat Wright Heads to Appleton for NWIAs Sprint Events
Pat Wright, a popular high school athlete, leaves Friday for Appleton to compete in the Northeast Wisconsin Interscholastic Association gold day. He will enter the hundred yard dash or the 220 yard dash and is seen as a strong contender. Wright has run the hundred in under eleven seconds, a time likely unmatched by current high school sprinters, though last year’s dash winner finished in 10.1.
