Death of G J Jackson and tragic family losses
G J Jackson of Centralia is mourned as his wife Mrs. Jackson died by suicide last month and was found in the Wisconsin river. Jackson, treated for brain paresis at a Milwaukee hospital, died recently at a Wisconsin sanitarium. Born in 1845 in Dumfries Scotland he served in the Civil War and built a business empire in Centralia, Amher st, Wausau and Stevens Point. He was a retired thirty second degree Mason and active in multiple fraternal orders. The community recalls a once bright home disrupted by tragedy and illness.
