Juniors Entertain at High School Banquet Tradition Rich with Color
The annual junior banquet was held Friday in the high school assembly room with 74 guests. Seniors and juniors sat at tables around a large center table. white and cardinal decor, bells and streamers dominated. Miss Dorothy Packard supervised a prepared menu by domestic science seniors, with 12 waitresses and 12 waiters from the Sophomore class. Toasts led by Edward Witt highlighted the evening, followed by harp selections and dancing into the night. The program included numerous toasts and a list of graduating class members.

Man Killed Near Granton on Omaha Line
An old bachelor named Reidl was found dead wedged between railroad bridge supports a mile west of Granton. He had been struck by a train while walking home from Granton after a night drinking in saloons. A 10 o'clock special train passed nearby. he was likely struck on the shoulder and head and killed instantly.

Death of Mrs Huber at Marshfield after stroke and illness
Mrs Barbara Huber aged 69 died at her North Maple Street home after apoplexy following a short illness. She suffered a stroke at services on April 28 and again later, dying Wednesday. Funeral from the Catholic church was held yesterday with seven sons and one daughter present, along with two sisters from Pittsville and Strongs Prairie. son Joe could not attend from Montrose, Colorado.

Musical Club to Entertain at Twelve Dancing Princesses
