Floor space equals two acres with room for future machinery and possible production doubling. Roddis plans a nearby saw mill but will delay spring start to focus on the veneer plant. Presiding Elder Straw appoints Rev. E. W. Blakeman of Appleton as pastor of the M E Church in this city replacing Rev. A B Soule who resigned due to poor health. Lightning Strikes Chimney of Sexton Home
Lightning during a heavy storm struck the large chimney at W. A. Sexton’s residence early Saturday, ruin ing the chimney and frightening occupants. The bolt followed the chimney into the kitchen, sent sparks from the stove, but did not ignite the woodwork. The strike occurred at 5 50 AM and was felt blocks away.

Fred Beell of Marshfield easily defeated John Rooney the giant policeman in Chicago Monday night winning in straight falls. The first fall lasted 20 minutes 15 seconds with a crotch and hammer hold, the second in 7 minutes 36 seconds using a grapevine and half Nelson. Death of Mrs Jos Seid in Pittsville
Mrs Jos F Seid of Pittsville died Saturday at Pittsville of brain fever after a short illness. Daughter of Mrs Knute Hatteberg of this city she was well known here. She lived here until two years ago when she moved with her husband to Pittsville. Remains brought to this city for funeral held yesterday afternoon at the Presbyterian church with Rev Postletwaite officiating.

Bethel incident linked to Baker-Ohmsted gang
