W A Ruth of Chicago met with Supt Otto to plan next year’s Redpath lyceum course. Six numbers include the Dixie chorus eight male voices with three scenes, Coleman the orator, George C. Reinfrank, Emily Waterman, John B. Ratto, Wilbur Arthur, and the Fraternity Glee Club. Course starts after school opens, same price as this year at 1.50 with 50 cents for reserved seats.

Albert St. Thomas Killed by Train at Bland Junction
Conductor Albert St. Thomas, a longtime Northwestern railroad employee, was fatally struck while on a freight run from Eland Junction to Antigo. Standing on a side track at Bland Junction he failed to hear an approaching switch engine and car, was crushed between the locomotive and freight car, and died before spectators could reach him.

Gruesome Infant Body Found in Soo Depot Closet
Stevens Point Journal reports a decomposed infant was found Monday afternoon in an unused closet off the ladies toilet at the Soo depot in Stevens Point. Baggage man Arthur Oberst uncovered a wrapped package exposing the infant’s head and body, with a Milwaukee Sentinel dated December 2, 1911, wrapped around it. The discovery occurred in a remote corner of the closet amid a lingering odor.

Ferdinand Strauss died in Milwaukee after a long illness at nearly seventy. Funeral was in Appleton with son Alderman R J Strauss present. He founded a Ripon mercantile business in 1868, later run by his sons. Survived by three sons and three daughters in multiple cities.

Druggist D L Potter and partners W A Sexton and R J Strauss were tried after a state inspector charged lime water at their stores fell short of Standard. Potter was acquitted by a jury with John F Cole defending and District Attorney Briera prosecuting. Strauss and Sexton pleaded guilty, paying 25 dollars plus costs.

Valuable collie astray in Lancaster search widens
Ex Governor Upham received a handsome young collie from the Lancaster kennels to replace the late Laddie. The dog slipped his collar and vanished into the woods Wednesday. A $5 reward was mailed along rural routes. Several dogs were brought in but none matched the description. Clues are being followed to locate the missing collie.

A northbound freight at Milladore derailed while being sidetracked on a flying switch.
