St John’s Catholic parish splits as Marshfield plans new church
An 8new Catholic church is organized in Marshfield with a new parish to be the St Mary Heart Catholic Church at Marshfield. Rev Thad Slebiing will lead. officers include Secretary Thomas V L Spalguigs and Treasurer H S Kooin. The site in Wilhelm addition fronting Central avenue Eleventh and Maple streets was chosen with construction costing about 25000 dollars including 5000 for a priest’s house. The parish will be incorporated with the bishop and pastor among incorporators.
