Commencement Night of M A S Class of 1907
Twenty five graduates will depart high school with 23 diplomas awarded at Adler's Opera House on Thursday evening. Death of Mrs. A. B. Crawford in City
Mrs. Sarah Bird Crawford wife of Dr. A B Crawford died at home Monday evening at 9 35. Born in Philadelphia in 1853 she lived in Grand Rapids long before moving to this city with her husband nearly a year ago. She leaves Dr. Crawford and two sons Albert D of this city and Earl B of Oconto. A sister Mrs Jennie Price of Philadelphia arrived for an extended visit. Funeral from the Presbyterian church at 10 o clock Wednesday morning Rev Postlethwaite to officiate and graveside services will follow in the local cemetery.

Elks Win At Waukesha In Convention Week Game
Marshfield defeated Waukesha on the shore of Waukesha beach before nearly two thousand convention visitors. Troeh held the opposition to five hits with sixteen strikeouts as J Froeh and Dorscher led the Marshfield battery. Elks improved in fielding and ten hits came off the Waukesha pitcher. Local visitors included Connor Below Heaton Hoene Carney Andrews Williams. A benefit matinee for the sanitarium fund is set for Friday at the Davidson theatre.

At the regular monthly meeting the common council passed a sidewalk ordinance ordering blocks of new sidewalks with costs charged to property if not completed by July 1. The garbage disposal petition was rejected as unnecessary. W J Kamps was appointed supervisor of Michael Jrapden resigned. The Sixth Street sewer was ordered extended west to the high school corner. Cedar Street between Sixth and Eighth was denied after ward opposition. August Budalon’s street commissioner salary rose five dollars monthly from June 1 to November 1. Jacob Weiss reappointed caretaker of the dumping ground and septic tank. The council adjourned to Friday June 28.
