Billy's Bungalow at New Adler A Capitol Tale
Home talent comedy Billy’s Bungalow staged at the New Adler opera house on Thursday evening May 28 to benefit St Alban’s guild. Anson Campbell as Billy led a 20 member cast with Miss Eleanor Mosher Peggy Miss Zea Blodgett Kitty Miss Alvin Bartholomew Dot and Miss Fannie Cole as Miss Cauldwell. The island farce included songs such as I Want a Rag Time Bungalow and Love Me While the Lovin’s Good. The audience filled the house, applauding the cast for a polished three act presentation with strong staging and a notable Spanish dance by Pigeon Blodgett. Proceeds went to St Albans guild. Marshfield’s High school orchestra and Mrs H R Bathrick provided musical support.

Chili Man Chooses Casket In Advance
A Neillsville registered man with wealth nearby Chili visited Upham's furniture by himself and with a cowboy companion. He declared he would be murdered before night and chose a $250 casket but paid little. He left without settlement, and proprietor suspects the man may still be alive. An old Chicago operation may have left him mentally unstable and not fully responsible.

Joy Ride Costly Two Fines Paid
William Jensen and Albert Anderson were fined for taking an automobile without permission. They pleaded guilty in municipal court, Jensen $25 and Anderson $5 plus costs. The pair, employees of Marshfield Ironworks, admitted taking a new Heeo touring car owned by Fred Kamps, loaded three girls, and rode into the country. Lang & Scharmann discharged them but pursued prosecution to set an example to deter joy riding. Signs will warn customers of penalties for taking others cars.
