Gone South Trip Planned by Lathrops
Have Gone South oc and Mrs. H. A. Lathrop left Monday for a six weeks trip through the south and east. They left Chicago Tuesday for New Orleans where they expect to remain until after Mardi Gras. They will then visit Havana and other Cuban points before returning home by easy stages via Washington and New York.

Heading and Stave Mill Sold to New Colby Michigan Owners
E. E. Winch & Co. heading and stave plant sold to Miller of Colby Wisconsin and McBride Montague of Cairo Michigan. The buyers, active in stave and heading manufacturing for eight years, disbanded their Colby plant and plan to operate the local mill. Miller will arrive next week to run the plant. former managers Ross and Winch have no definite plans yet. The community hopes both stay employed locally.

McCormick Gets Two Years For Robbery Connection
Roy Wilson alias Ed McCormick known as Scotty was arraigned before Judge Webb in Grand Rapids after a robbery in Omaha. The judge sentenced him to two years in the state prison at Waupun. Sheriff OConnor of Marathon County holds a warrant and will arrest him at Waupun when term ends.
