Mrs Chas Dix of Hoole shot herself in the head with a revolver on Wednesday after months of ill health and threats to end her life. Her husband and family were present as she went upstairs, placed the weapon to her temple, and died instantly. She was about 40 years old and left a husband and three children.
Charles J Huhn a veteran Watertown money lender faced financial collapse as Milwaukee debts and depreciated real estate values strained his finances. Investigations in Watertown and Milwaukee revealed widespread mortgage dealings, with 82 mortgages totaling about $40,000 transferred to creditors before his Milwaukee departure.
Two sons of C Meyers of Flackville vanished on Sunday November 22. They are 12 and AB years old, wearing blue overshoes, gray sacks, red wool shirts, one with a dark cap and the other in a gray cap.
