Dr W A Gordon, superintendent at Oshkosh, advocates a new epilepsy colony in Wisconsin on about 3000 acres with scattered buildings. Such a facility would house 1500 to 2000 people and benefit the locality, urging Marshfield business leaders to push a bill. Foreman Witt Seriously Injured by Train in Central Yards
Witt, a foreman at Roddis Veneer, was struck by the Nekoosa passenger engine in the Central yards as he stepped back onto the track while talking to Conductor Richmond. He fell outside the rails, was taken to the depot, then home, suffering pain with no bones broken though possible internal injuries. He remains bedbound but is expected to recover enough to move about in time.
