Jimmy Ward Airship Tour Concludes With Fair Flight Plans
The Great Jimmy Ward arrives at the fairgrounds aboard the Shooting Star airship with his crew. Ward, in a long touring campaign since April, has set attendance records in Calgary Winnipeg and Mankato with 141000 six day total, 72000 opening Winnipeg crowd. He will perform flights daily during the fair and plans to retire from active flying January 1.

First Registration Day Set for August Twenty Seventh
August 27 is fixed as the first day for city voters to register for the primary and general elections. Voters must be registered on this day to vote in the primary. No challenge is required. Names sworn in on primary election day will be placed on the poll list and a final registration occurs thirty days before the November election.
Park Falls Editor Drowned in Butternut Lake
George D. Young editor of the Park Falls Herald was drowned last week when his post capsized in fifteen feet of water at Butternut Lake. He was popular in his hometown and widely known throughout Northern Wisconsin.
