Death of John H. Johnson
John B. Johnson a long-time Marshfield resident died Tuesday night at St Josephs hospital from typhoid fever and pneumonia aged about sixty five. He was born in Norway and came to America in 1881 with a young woman from his hometown settling near Marshfield before moving to the city in 1882. He worked at Upham Manufacturing and Marshfield Bedding and later ran a boarding house and cabinet making. Surviving are his widow, one son Edward Johnson and five daughters Mrs Jacob Kunz Mrs Gustav Leibel Mrs Brotem Mrs Walter Seward and Miss Alicia Johnson. The funeral was held Monday afternoon from the Methodist Episcopal church with Rev T Barry Kelly officiating interment Hillside Cemetery.
