Horrors of the African slave voyage on the Echo revealed

Terrible dog attack on pilot Reed R Young

Reed R Young, a renowned pilot, was severely bitten and mauled by two dogs owned by a milky man named Riinchant in Salt River Lane. The animals attacked his calf arm scalp chest and back, tearing clothing and flesh until neighbors intervened. a posse pursued the dogs, shooting at them. Young survived but injuries were extensive and frightening.
