Depot Fire, Pump Theft And Unknown Man Found Dead
A young man named Ernest Waterman, alias Jones, is bound over for trial after admitting he stole a Marsh steam pump for employers Marsh & Ja ina of Albion. A depot fire caused by a spark from a passing engine destroyed the C and M depot building, with an estimated 2000 loss. Later, a dead man identified as William Jones, an English immigrant, was found in Ferguson’s Woods and ruled to have died from an epileptic fit.
