Fifty Dead After Detroit Boiler Explosion at Journal Building

A boiler blast shattered a five story Detroit block at Larned and Shelby, collapsing a section and burying about fifty people. Montana strike ends with limited rail disruption

A Kalispell Montana report says the strike is over with no further demonstrations on the textile pact as leaders face trial for allegedly destroying railroad property. Fair Will Case Settled Out of Court in Estate Dispute

A San Francisco report says the Fair Will case, once billed as a fierce fight over a 40 million estate, has settled out of court. Hermon Gelrichs of New York, son-in-law of the late Senator Farr, persuaded trustees Goodfellow to abandon the will's ironclad trust provision, distributing property to heirs. Goodfellow allegedly received 24,000 under the settlement. Also reported: British consul Waggbittart mistaken as suspicious in Chicago, and the steamer Missoula missing near Sault Ste.
