Railroad Brotherhood aims for universal fund plan
Our last G I D Convention appointed a committee to draft a future policy for the fund. A report this season could swell the charity with journal income and modest member taxes, enough to relieve those who may apply. Delegates are urged to judge by merit, not prejudice, and to study the financial reports showing solid Avantes and cash on hand. The note calls for constitutional action, possible incorporation by state and federal avenues, and a plan to ensure reliable engineers while addressing Sunday work and temperance issues.
