An advertisement touts a tour of “BS Vo KO Lerren” featuring over 50 different styles in the lot. Visitors are invited to come in and see the offerings described as elegant and premier.
Dr Marshall B W H Chant and Asa Fenton faced a perilous river ordeal above Cleveland’s dam when a swollen current capsized their boat. Grant clung to the craft and splashed through rapids to safety, while Marshall swam to shore after hanging on under the overturned hull. The party suffered exposure and fatigue as they battled the river in near freezing water.
Jerome Phelps of Marengo admitted guilt in a justice court for a threshing incident during a neighborhood dispute and was fined 210.90. A second warrant for defamation was issued by Mrs. Phelps amid ongoing wrangling, with further court action expected next week as other locals attend gatherings and notices advertise sales and community events.

The Albion Recorder carries a lengthy reply defending the resolutions favoring Mr Randall. It rebuts attacks by unnamed critics, asserts the resolutions originated with Athens teachers including many Silver men at Marshall, and accuses a writer under the name American of misrepresentation. The letter praises Mr Randall’s three-year record and notes Mrs Willits’ potential support.
Mrs. Ann Ella Kingsland died in Wayne after a long life as a Melford resident and in Thai township. She lived with her husband George Kingsland until WaMa, then moved to Wayne where he died in 188? She was remembered for a kind heart and steadfast disposition. She leaves three children Pred Kingsland Tekonsha Wa Blorham and Frank H. Kingsland Wayne, plus four children from her husband by a former wife, with numerous relatives honoring her memory.
