Judge Hayes a longtime Democrat former congressman and circuit judge dies at his Marshall home after sudden heart neuralgia. Born 1842 in Marshall he studied at the University of Michigan and practiced law before moving to Clinton Iowa. He attended Gorham funeral as pallbearer and died at 8:60 PM after collapsing en route to the Gorham residence.
