Cincinnati June 15 Mrs Jeanette Stewart Ford testified in the Edgar Cooke embezzlement trial admitting she hid $22,000 for Cooke in a New York safe deposit vault. She said Cooke claimed the money had been taken from the Big Four railway. She disclosed receiving about $1200 to $1500 for herself. She described visits to Warriner's home where he received $2000. The couple traveled to New York to count the money and place it in a safety deposit box. The Bankers Safe Deposit vaults on Wall Street held the packages. She said the money came from the Big Four. Her cross examination was postponed as she endangers her life. Warriner denied naming higher ups. The trial continued amid objections to redirect questions.

Smiths motion all for naught

Washington June 15 Consideration of the Hondras treaty in open session of the senate will be ordered if the senate follows the leadership of Senator William Alden Smith of Michigan. The treaty was reported to the Senate in executive session today by Chairman Cutler of the foreign relations committee and after it was ordered to the calendar Mr Smith undertook to move that the agreement be discussed in open session. Lodge suggested the treaty was not before the senate for consideration and Mr Smith gave notice of a renewal of his motion as to open session when the treaty is taken up. No action was taken.

Frank G Jones Pleads Not Guilty in Grand Rapids Case

Frank G. Jones, president of the American Fuse Co. of Ainskegon, charged with forgeries totaling over 706000, pleaded not guilty at arraignment in Grand Rapids Superior Court. He was remanded to jail with no bail set, and officials plan to seek bail so he can oversee factory affairs while creditors seek recovery on the questioned paper.

Missing Woman Dieterle Found in Cisternal Home Weil

Mea Gofffrey Dieterle 74 was found in the cistern at her son in law s home in Lodi after two weeks missing from her Saline area. Body of Man Found in Lake at Saint Joseph

In Saint Joseph Michigan on June 15 Edward Bresnahan was found dead in the lake after survivors pulled him from the water. Police investigate death while a coroner's inquest is planned. The deceased, related to a former Cass county prosecutor, had been working on a farm east of town and reportedly planned a night out. His body was identified by a brother.

Della Graham daughter of James Graham living near the ALC R R tracks in Perrinville is jailed for 30 days after being found guilty of obtaining goods under false pretenses from a Battie Creek merchant. She could not pay a $24.20 fine and costs. Sheriff Fonda also moved Lewie Hand to Fackson prison. A boy, son of Wm Derry, was badly bitten on the lip by a collie dog while riding on Lusk’s wagon yesterday afternoon.
