Mrs. Arthur awoke as a dark lantern shone in her face. the intruder fled and was later confronted by Van Lepper. The sheriff seeks the youth who lingered in the neighborhood until early morning.

The Michigan Telephone company plans long distance links from Detroit to Kalamazoo and Jackson within two weeks, with Marshall by July first.
