Folding Bath Tub Co Expands in Marshall Growth Story
Marshall’s Folding Bath Tub Co has moved into a large new 40x100 foot two story building near the C J M depot. Since 1889 the firm has grown from a small shop to a major local employer with capacity for 150 baths per week, aided by modern machinery and steam power. The company builds portable bath units for homes lacking full bathrooms, using antique oak or other woods to match decor. Ed Grant leads the firm, which began with W E Bosley’s early backing and now ships from a facility that rivals larger city factories.
