Balloon ascent hoax narrative stirs Jackson town
Witness Joseph Showers says he saw Prof Ed Hogan Thursday afternoon on Mechanic Street near the People's Bank and spoke with him before Hogan allegedly headed to St Thomas Ontario for an ascent. Reports from New York and Brooklyn question Campbell's airship claims and detail a ramshackle balloon and wagon setup with conflicting witness accounts.
