Doomed Napolitano Story Prompts Clemency Petitions

A sensational feature notes Angelina Napolitano, an Italian wife in Sault Ste Marie, awaiting two death sentences in Canada and the United States. It discusses her alleged murder of her husband, the civil law versus natural law, and a nationwide push for clemency as petitions pour in to Governor General Gray. The piece frames her as a mother of four, her plight crossing borders, and questions why the state would punish or spare a woman who defends the home. It cites her testimony, legal history, and the broader issue of gendered justice.
