Alumni of Marshall High School gathered Friday night for a planned permanent society, banquet, and reunion. Jease Latch presided as 200 to 300 attendees heard remarks by George Woodruff and Miss Fannie Barrett, with a history sketch praising alumni and a spirited program including a vocal solo by Edna Ingersoll and an oration by Henry Dibble on Civil Service Reform.

Drowning death of 12 year old Charlie in Kalas river
A Brainerd boy Charlie Darling aged 12 drowned while swimming in the Kalas river near Davis woods. Rescuer Phil Joy tried to save him but currents carried the boy away.
