Our Alma Mater Reunion Marks Grateful Night at Hall
The high school alumni held a large Friday reunion at the hall. President opened with a scholarly address and a long reading honored Jennie McClure Davis. Magee delivered a keynote on labor protection while Gertrude Parr traced class history and aims. The event concluded with a banquet and toasts, confirming strong alumni ties.

Daring Private Citizen Captures Burglary Suspect
Dr Emory J Marshall woke to a burglar peering through his bedroom blinds. He tailed the intruder through Eagle Street, confronted him at James Walkinshaw and Charles Brewer’s homes, and rousted the thief by knocking him into an open cellar. Julius Wright, age about 26, was arrested at dawn and jailed.
