Eaton County Whig Convention Nominates Delegates

The Eaton County Whig convention at Charlotte on April 16 1854 nominated delegates for the state convention to alter the Constitution. J O Barces chaired the meeting with J F Hisaas as secretary. Two tellers were appointed Willem Hammont and Robt Wheaton. The ballots selected JO Balch Wm Hammond and E D Lacy, with Church and Belch among later candidates, culminating in Church and Beltach as nominees. The convention adjourned with JER. O. DALCU as chairman and Suun F. Huxuas as secretary.
