Jealous fears and a murder case dominate Battle Creek report
At Battle Creek police headquarters John Leak a colored man feared being kidnapped after being tied to the murder of Georgs H Arnold. He asked to be locked up for safety and was placed in a jail cell, later moved to Marshall jail for safe keeping. Officials suspect possible poisoning and keep him under surveillance as they investigate the case. An obituary for Lycurgus S.
