Meilley grades Homer to Hanover with 200 men, 75 teams, moving 5000 yards daily and has recruited 75 Hungarians from New York. frost is out, grading shifts to marshes, now higher ground.

Ed Storrs began clerking for N Davis. Rev Armstrong presented a gift of $40 from church members. The stone mill briefly shut down due to wheat arrival delays. The news stand changed hands to H W Mosher. Wellington Bidwell plans to discharge the insurance business. Tease Bull left Albion for summer work. A valuable botanical specimen was received for the college from Miss Mary Elkin, a former student and missionary in Concepcion, Chile.
