Carnival of Blood in Cincinnati Court House Riot

Indignant at an unjust verdict in the William Renner murder case, about ten thousand people gathered Friday night in Cincinnati to Lynch William Berner and Palmer. The mob overran the jail, battled police and militia, damaged the courthouse and jail, and caused extensive destruction before authorities regained control.
