Judge seeks support for two August ballot millage measures
Marshall County residents face two proposed millages for the Juvenile Home in Marshall. Judge Gary Reed urged city council support for 35 mills for 20 years to expand and remodel the facility and 68 mills for operation, totaling about 1.03 mills overall, costing the average homeowner roughly $35 to $50 per year. The home currently serves as a 42 bed detention facility with no in house treatment. expansion would add 24 treatment beds and provide round the clock operation.
