Save-A-Lot Opens In Marshall Competing With Felpausch
A new Save-A-Lot grocery store will open in late January at 106 Redfield Plaza Marshall occupying about one third of the former Felpausch site. The move creates competition with Felpausch, which relocated from Redfield Plaza after 42 years to 15900 W Michigan Ave. Felpausch emphasizes customer service while Save-A-Lot promotes low prices through limited brand names and shopper bagging their own groceries. Community leaders say the new store will bring jobs and economic activity to Marshall.
