Marshall Recreation Department Tees Up 3 on 3 Fall Hoop
Marshall Recreation invites teams to sign up for the Fall 3-on-3 league running mid September to December on Monday and Thursday evenings. Four leagues including TNT for all sizes, 6 and Under, 35 and Over, and a Women’s league. Registration at 315 S. Grand office weekdays 8 to 5. $50 sponsor fee due by September 5. Preseason managers meeting September 12 at the department. Scrimmages September 19 and 23. Player fees: $5 for City of Marshall taxpayers, $10 for others with residency rules. Annual Soccer Camp a Huge Success at Marshall
The Marshall Recreation Department wrapped up the annual soccer camp on August 9 at Verona Road fields. Coach Kevin McCauley led two sessions for K to 8th graders with high school players assisting. Ninety nine youngsters participated, each given a ball for repeated drills, and thanks were extended to the Marshall Soccer Club for facilities. Look for next year’s camp to begin in early August 2003.

Marshall hosts scrimmages as three programs open season
Marshall hosted Jackson Lumen Christi and Plainwell in early season scrimmages with JV and varsity squads from three strong programs showing solid play and learning areas for improvement. The team schedules another scrimmage on Wednesday evening August 21, 2002, starting at 5:00 PM at the Marshall Soccer Club fields on Verona Road.
