Olivet Planetarium hosts a Saturday sky lecture at 7 p.m. behind the Mott Building. Eric Sullivan of Marshall promotes astronomy, with an associated public observing session if skies clear. Earth Day Water Festival in Marshall Michigan
The Calhoun Conservation District hosts an Earth Day Water Festival in Marshall on April 25 at Ketchum Park from 6 am to 2 pm. About 450 grade students from Albion Tekonsha Mar Lee Marshall Academy Cobern Bellevue East Leroy and other area schools will attend. The event covers soil water quality groundwater recycling forestry tree planting wildlife farming and more with 24 local presenters.

A benefit event on Saturday April 27 in Marshall promotes a Swiss steak dinner and concert to aid Luke DeVoider, a two year old with Hurler's syndrome. Proceeds help cover medical costs for Luke and his parents as he undergoes a bone marrow transplant and six months of treatment at Fairview Children’s Hospital.
