Gaught Bootleggers Arrested Near City in Liquor Bust

Three men Lester Swickard Terre and William Hull were arrested east of the city by City Marshal Davia and Sheriff Davi sou for selling liquor in anti saloon territory. A wagon search found several pints of booze and evidence. Wives were taken to homes in Terre and the men were held for court with continuances requested and two remaining in jail.

No 44 in Bad Wreck Fast passenger train No 44 ran into an open switch at Effingham Tuesday night just before eight. It derailed overturning. Route officials and the engineer Harrison were injured. Two mail clerks in the mail cars were slightly injured. other passengers escaped without serious harm.
