Wesley Smith Dies After Long Illness in Clark County
Wesley Smith born July 31 1859 in Clark County Illinois died February 8 1908 at his home after a two year struggle with consumption. He married Anna Schotts in 1841 and leaves a son. He served one term on the city council. Funeral at his home Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. with sermon by Reverend Hiram Huston and Red Men conduct at the grave. Burial in Marshall Cemetery.

York couple arrested on misconduct charges in York
Mrs. Duck Myles of York and Charles Hoover of Dunkirk Ind were arrested Monday night at the residence of Mr. Johnson in York by deputy sheriff Jesse Gallatin on a charge of misconduct. Hoover could not post bond and remained jailed awaiting the March term of the Circuit Court.

Indiana Guard Company B Heads to Washington Inaugural
Company B of the Indiana National Guard will join Washington County B in the inaugural pageant in Washington D C on March 4.
