Flora Swallum of Casey files for divorce from James H Swallum Tuesday. They married December 25 1885 and separated February 1 1900. She accuses him of cruel treatment and drunkenness and seeks an injunction to stop him from drawing on deposits at Casey National Bank. they have one daughter.

Roy Mathews Fatally Injured In Hand Car Accident
Roy Mathews section foreman on the Big 4 south of town was thrown from a hand car Friday morning and died Sunday morning from neck injuries. His crew attempted to clear the track for a passenger train when the car jumped the track. He died after a period of unconsciousness. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the family home conducted by Rev. E L Pletcher with burial rites at the cemetery performed by the Red Men assisted by the Modern Woodmen and Court of Honor.

Clark Given District Counsel Post for Frisco System
Stewart L. Clark a former Clark County resident now in Missouri is appointed District Counsel for the Frisco system with headquarters at West Plains Missouri moving from Van Buren Missouri.
