Council discussed fire protection and sidewalks in 1890s Cincinnati area
Council members debated aiding Cincinnati Northern with a water main for fire protection near the shops, preferring bonds to fund it. Absent members Dean Zanger and Page missed the fortnightly meeting. John Myers sought 32 days pay covering an injury from the July 11 accident during a fire department display. Petitions for cement walks on State street were granted. Crosswalks and cement approaches were debated for city streets and the West End gutter project favored brick paving. Voting places were named for upcoming elections and routine bills approved.
