Township Supervisors Consider Clerks Certification Change
The board convened at the courthouse with Chairman Hamilton in charge. A claims committee report covered the first 72 items, recommending allowance except one, and the report was tabled for Thursday. Willison proposed requiring township clerks to certify exact appropriation figures to the county clerk, a move toward stricter compliance with the law. A four member special committee was formed to study the change. Delegations from 27 Burlington taxpayers sought boundary changes for the village, referred to a new committee. Additional committees addressed soldiers relief, the county clerk, and condolence resolutions for A. J. Randall of Tekonsha. The poor house inquiry continued as the session adjourned on motion.
