Magnificent Floral Parade Lights Up Battle Creek Night
A grand floral parade on State Street drew about 1000 attendees for afternoon and evening trains. Company L provided escort, and Queen Miss McGee rode a flowered float with attendants. The event featured bands, decorated carriages, and elaborate gowns as fireworks lit the sky. After the parade, high dives and wire acts entertained, with D.O.K. members arriving by train from Battle Creek. The city praises organizers for a superb Southern Michigan celebration.
