William Earling was arrested Sunday night in Terre Haute while burglarizing Dr. Odell Weaver's home. A wagon load of stolen goods was found at his house. Earling and his wife had been previously arrested in Martinsville for stealing automobile tires, fined, and used their car as security for the penalty. The machinery remained in custody.

Record of Local Death by Own Action in Terre Haute
John Evans aged 22 from Casey died by suicide in Terre Haute last Thursday night after returning home intoxicated. Neighbors reprimanded him as his wife lay sick in bed. He entered the room where she rested and shot himself. Evans had secured a divorce at the last circuit term and soon married a Miss Bean of Casey in Terre Haute.

Old Settlers Pass Away David Drummond Passes at 80
David Drummond an Orange township resident died Saturday at his son Thomas home after age related troubles. He was 80 and survived by two sons. James H. Scott died Sunday at his home near the Ohio school house after a long illness at 70. A native of the county he lived his life on the family farm. Funeral services were held at Ohio Chapel yesterday led by Rev. F. M. Buckner. He is survived by three sons.

They're Elusive Birds Elude Jail Break in Marshall
A jail delivery in Marshall last Wednesday night freed Robert White and his wife, the only prisoners. They escaped by a ceiling hole to the women's department, then out to the jailer's kitchen. They were seen crossing the railroad bridge north of town by guard Mike Behner. Sheriff Wallace led a search the next day with no results.
